Haiku Part Two

Here are some more: each for a different friend. I love you all and I will miss you when I am away in the land of humidity and large bugs. As before, if you guess correctly, I will tell you which friend owns which poem.

Discontent rises
Flood-waters beneath each move
Threaten the city

~

Underwater I
Pull you closer and hold you
My brother, my heart

~

The parallels of
Our lives make arcs in the rain
Amber and cyan

~

Promises of joy
You smell blood and sense your way
Toward a better life

~

You still scare me so
Unknown power lies dormant
You and I smile both

~

I feel like I caused
Cold bitter winters you feel
I made you the same

~

Eyes met across rooms
And you drank from my harvest
Memory empties

~

Everyday empires
Allow your magic to rise
Tell me of the beach
