Quest for Fire

This poster is the coolest thing.
The movie is cool, too. One of Jean-Jacques Annaud's 1980s wordless films. La Guerre du Feu (Quest for Fire) isn't exactly wordless, but it is pretty well close. The characters, all humanoids, speak various grunting, mostly inarticulate languages. The film is very intriguing, and though it is occasionally predictable, it is enjoyable throughout. The acting from the main three actors, Everett McGill, Ron Perlman, Nicholas Kadi, and Rae Dawn Chong, is excellent.
