Insanely, horribly cynical. This
Lion King exists only to make money. What's worse is that it is so nearly exactly like the original film that (like
Beauty and the Beast before it), one can't help comparing this 2019 version to the 1994 version almost frame by frame. What a total waste of time.
Aside from the cool behind the scenes footage, this version has no right or reason to exist. This also makes you wonder if they will employ the exact same style for Bambi and other animal centered movies.
