Mala Noche (Bad Night) is a movie about yearning and unsatisfied desire. It's frustrating for this reason but also very interesting. It's intriguing to note how much earlier than Gregg Araki
Mala Noche is, although clearly Araki and Van Sant are very similar. This movie is, in many ways, much better than an Araki movie, but it is definitely not as sexy as an Araki movie. Either way, this was gayportant and I'm glad I watched it.
