I wish Maryam Touzani's
The Blue Caftan (القفطان الأزرق) had surprised me a little more, but it feels quite conventional and straightforward in a way that I wasn't really expecting. It’s beautifully made and so well acted that I didn’t mind too much. Lubna Azabal is stellar (as she was in Touzani's wonderful
Adam), and I completely fell in love with Saleh Bakri and Ayoub Missioui.
